February 22 what a monthWhat a month Jodi and I have had. We have missed a few work outs and have not kept up with our blog enteries. We have not weighed in together in a few weeks but I have lost 8 total and Jodi has lost 9. I feel the loss in how my clothes fit. I have fit back into 2 pair of pants. My computer takes forever to write a blog so this is the end of my blog entry for today.

January 31 picture changeI thought it was best to change our profile picture due to the fact that Jello is a trade mark name and we might get into trouble using it. Beach here we come.
Kim January 30 Sad newsJodi has had some traggic in her family and can not weigh in on Saturday so we will be missing a week of weigh in. I hate that she is going through a tough time but I do not mind missing a weigh in (as you all know my weigh ins have been bad).
My Grandma Liz is not doing very well and is only expected to live a few more days. I am saddened by this because my family is in Michigan and I am in Florida and I can not be with them. It is tough during these tough times not to want to eat and drink everything in sight but we need to focus on what is right and stay strong. Weigh inOur weigh in went well for Jodi of course another 2 pounds yea to her. I only lost a pound and that was probably because I went to the bathroom first lol. It is very discouraging when you do everythig right and there are no good results. I know I am not the right track I just would like to see some results from all my hard work. I gave up eating fun stuff and drinking fun stuff and still not results. I could contuine waht I was doing and not see results. However my day will come and there will be results. So don't be afraid I will not go back to the "fun" stuff.

January 25 last chance workoutToday is the last chance work out day. I think I have learned my lesson about eating and drinking after 9 pm the night before weigh in. I got on the treadmill this morning but plan to get back on it later tonight. I also plan on having a salad for dinner. I feel better and that should be all the counts however as many of you ladies know seeing the weight going down gives the boost to keep going. I did not lose my first week into this so I am hoping for just a pound or two, nothing real big. Check back tomorrow to see the results.
Kim January 22 Work outYesterday Jodi and I met at the park with our kids (and 2 extra) to work out. It was a nice day here in sunny Florida so we thought we would meet at the park to work our legs and abs. We used some landscaping bricks as a "stepper" to work our thighs, Quads and "butt". Then we did lounges accross the base ball field and back, then we used some raised concrete to work our calves. It was great to get out of the house and get some fresh air and sunshine. I know that it is impossble for some of you to get out, I just wanted to let you guys know it does not cost a lot to get into shape. For me it is not the money that is the issue my issue is getting my butt out of bed in the morning to work out. I am not a morning person at all! I have told Jodi I will try to get up and get going in the morning. January 19 Weigh inWell..today was weigh in day. Now i know what the folks on The Biggest Loser feels likewhen they do not lose anything. I did not lose a pound this week. Jodi however blew me away when she lost 4 pounds. Go Jodi. I am very proud of her. I know it takes time and my time will come. I think the only thing i could do different next week is work out more. I also know that since I have not worked out in over 2 years, I need to get back in the "swing" of things slowly. We both agree that eating healthier and exercising this week we feel great. Because of that i feel like I have lost a ton.

January 18 One day until weigh inOne day until our first weigh in. Even if I have not lost any weigh this week I have had a great week. I feel better because I have worked out 6 days out of the week, I have been eating healthy, and laying off of the beer! I have had more skinny days than fat days. Yea. Jodi feels she has lost weight. She is exercising with me as well as walking on the treadmill 4 days a week. Tomorrow will tell all. Check back to see our results. January 12 work outToday we worked our upper body then took a walk. January 10 Work OutWe have offially started our work out. Both of us made sure we were on the treedmill this morning and we are using our local High School workout room for our workouts (it helps that one of us is a teacher at the school). My name is Jodi. I live in Winter Park, FL. My weight loss goal for this contest is 16 pounds. I have the help of a very good friend who I know will push me to meet my goals.
My name is Kim. I live in Winter Park as well, I asked Jodi to be my partner through this because I know that she will push me to meet my goals. My weight loss goal for this contest is also 16 pounds.
Once we heard about his contest we knew this is what we need for the extra push to live a healthier life. We plan to call each other (at 5:30am) to make sure we are up and "running", we plan to meet three times a week to work out together and we plan to be on the same workout plan to insure that we will stick to this better way of life. As a single mom of three (Jodi) and a married mom of two (Kim) have always put our families first. While trying to obtain a happy home we have neglected to take time for ourselves. This year with the help of family, friends and The Biggest Loser we will not only use this time to gain back the body we once had but to use it as a stress reliever. During the past two years we have survived breast cancer, moved many miles away from family, deal with stress daily and take care of our families. I am sure this "better" way of life will be a piece of cake. With our wit and creativity we are sure to WOW the judges. We are hoping not only to lose weight but to have a good time doing it.
